Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Oakington at 2342LT on June 21 on an operation to Krefeld. Over the target area, it was shot down by the German Flak and crashed in Büttgen, 16 km south of Krefeld. The pilot was killed and six other crew members became PoW.
