Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Gransden Lodge at 2143LT on April 4 on an operation to Dortmund. While returning to base the following night, the airplane ran out of fuel and while trying to land in misty weather conditions, it collided with trees and crash landed in a field near the airbase. All seven crew members were rescued, among them four were slightly injured.
