Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Snaith at 2354LT on May 13 on an operation to Bochum. Outbound at an altitude of 16,000 feet, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed southwest of Wierden. Three crew members were killed and four others became PoW.
