Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Scampton at 2316LT on July 8 on an operation to Cologne. Outbound, it crashed for unknown reasons in Evergem. Moments before the crash, the bomb load was jettisoned and this fell on the village of Oosteeklo. All seven crew members parachuted to safety and became PoW.
