Circumstances:
The aircraft left its base in England at 2252LT on May 11 bound for Hamburg. While reaching the target, the bomber was shot down by German antiaircraft fire and crashed on a road located in Friedrichsgabe-Norderstedt, north of Hamburg. The aircraft disintegrated on impact and all six crew members were killed.
