Circumstances:
Both occupants, German citizens, were probably completing a flight from Germany to Milan-Malpensa. In unknown circumstances, the twin engine aircraft hit trees and crashed in a wooded area located in the Campo dei Fiori mountain range, near Varese. Both occupants were killed. The exact date of this mishap remains unknown for the moment. It is clearly depicted in the photos this aircraft was a Piper PA-31. However, the registration D-IMWH was on a Beechcraft King Air 90 that crashed in Düsseldorf on December 6, 1987.
Sincere thanks to Isaia Laudi for the pictures and information.
