Circumstances:
The airplane departed RAF Melbourne at 1834LT on an operation to Kiel. In the late evening, while returning to base, it was shot down by a German fighter and crashed into the North Sea some 15 km north of the Schiermonnikoog Island. All seven crew members were killed.
