Circumstances:
While overflying The Channel and approaching the British coast, engine failed. Pilot ditched the aircraft dozen yards offshore. All five occupants were unhurt and rapidly rescued by local people who bring the aircraft back on the beach. The aircraft was later considered as damaged beyond repair. It seems that the engine's failure was caused by the malfunction of the fuel system.
