Circumstances:
The crew was taking part to the invasion of Sicily, operation named 'Husky II'. After all paratroopers bailed out, the crew was returning to base when the airplane was mistakenly shot down by the US Navy and crashed into the sea off Scoglitti. All five crew members were killed.
