While flying over the Mediterranean Sea, on the leg from Tripoli to Tunis, crew encountered poor weather conditions with snow falls and low visibility. Captain decided to ditch the aircraft off the Tunisian coast. Aircraft sunk and was lost while all occupants were rescued by the crew of the ship christened 'Paganini'.
