Circumstances:
Fifteen minutes after takeoff from Salt Lake City Airport, while climbing in a snowstorm at an altitude of 8,000 feet, the aircraft hit a mountain slope and was totally destroyed. All eight occupants were killed. For unknown reasons, the aircraft did not gain sufficient altitude while climbing. Visibility was poor due to heavy snow falls.
