Circumstances:
On a flight from the ice of the lagoon at Uelen to Bukhta Provideniya in support of the international expedition "Great Circle" when took off with the MTOW exceeded by 238 kg and the center of gravity out of the envelope (too far aft). Took a high angle of attack, lost speed, stalled at a height of some 30 metres and came down on the snow-covered frozen surface of the lagoon 475 metres after lift-off. A passenger was killed while all six other occupants were injured.
