The pilot, sole occupant, was performing a positionning flight from San José-Alajuela-Juan Santamaria airport to Liberia-Daniel Oduber Quiros, in the center of Costa Rica. The single engine aircraft left San José at 0500LT and crashed in a wooded area located in the Monteverde forrest, in the Cordillera of Guanacaste at 0530LT. The pilot was killed. |
