The crew was performing a humanitarian flight from Sudan to Lokichogio to pick food on an air-bridge for the United Nations Organisation (UNO). On approach, the aircraft suffered gear problems and belly landed on the runway 09/27, blocking the runway. Later, a Transafrik's Lockheed Hercules C-130 registered S9-BAS crashed on landing on the same runway and collided with the Andover, destroying both aircraft.
