Circumstances
 
Shortly after takeoff at night, the aircraft plunged into the Red Sea, about 15 km south of the airport. Nobody survived and the aircraft was totaly destroyed upon impact with water surface. On board were 133 French citizens back to Paris-Roissy-CDG Airport, plus one Moroccan, one Japanese and 13 Egyptian (crew members). Weather at the time of accident was good with excellent visibility, outside temperature of 17° C. and light wind. The plane made a right turn after takeoff and at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters, it made a left turn to come back to the airport but lost height in 17 seconds, descending with a rate of less than 300 feet per minute. The crew did not send any mayday message.
