On a flight from Kabul to Mazar-i-Sharif, the crew informed ATC that one engine failed. The crew decided to return to Kabul. On landing, the aircraft did not stop as expected and overrun the runway by 200 meters before coming to rest. Both pilots were seriously injured while the nose landing gear failed and penetrated the cockpit. All other occupants were uninjured and the aircraft, operated by Kam Air on behalf of the Belarus operator Rubystar, was damaged beyond repair. |
