On approach to runway 18 at Harrison-Boone County Airport, the left engine quit. The pilot feathered the left propeller but the right engine stopped few seconds later. The aircraft struck a 65 feet tree and impacted the ground 50 yards further on before coming to rest in a ditch located 1,000 feet short of runway. Both occupants were seriously injured and the aircraft's right wing was partially bent upward. |
