The pilot left Oranjestad airport (Aruba island) at
2250LT for a trip to Kralendijk-Flamingo airport, on Bonaire island,
also in the Netherlands Antilles. On final approach, both engine lost
power and the aircraft descended before colliding with the terrain 300
meters from the runway threshold. The pilot was seriously injured and
the aircraft destroyed. The CAA showed that the airplane did not contain
any usable fuel and there was no evidence of fuel leakage from the airplane
prior to the accident.
