On a cargo flight from Rifle to Grand Junction, Colorado,
the pilot completed his check-list on final approach. After deploying
undercarriage, three green lights appeared on the panel and the pilot
completed his landing. The aircraft landed on its main landing gear
and the nose drop past level and struck the runway surface. The aircraft
skidded for approximately 3'000 feet before stopping on the main runway.
The investigations will try to understand why the nose gear did not
extend despite the fact that the three green lights were on.
