On a special flight for the German operator Sachsische Luftfahrt Service, the single engine was carrying 12 pax and a crew of two. On course, while flying at 1,500 feet, the engine lost power and the pilot elected to carry out an emergency landing near a sport center. On landing in a field, the aircraft skidded 200 metres before crashing in trees. Nobody was hurt but the aircraft was written off. The German authorities said that a red light came on in the cockpit few seconds before the engine lost power due to fuel problem but both pilots did not see the red light. |
