  • The single engine aircraft was engaged in an ambulance flight from Amarillo to Clovis, New Mexico, carrying two pilots and one medical staff. Shortly after takeoff from Amarillo-Rick Husband Airport, while climbing in marginal weather conditions, the aircraft went out of control and crashed in a huge explosion along a boundary fence. The aircraft disintegrated on impact and all three occupants were killed. At the time of the accident, light rain was falling and the wind was blowing to 23 knots, gusting to 31 knots.
